Dark
Menace Productions is on
the move! Our
goal is to bring exciting new
stories and properties to
eager readers and we've got
two releases planned for
Spring, 2012!
First there's Champions
of the Galaxy: Ultimate
Betrayal which is
Part 2 of Tom Filsinger's
DM-Book trilogy. The
dramatic super hero/sci-fi
epic features the continuing
adventures of Star Warrior and
Thantos as they battle to save
Cetus from a deadly attack by
Krakan's forces. Part 1
provided guest narration by
Star Warrior and Part 2 will
feature narration by
SuperNova. It'll rock!
Also on the horizon is an
exciting new release
called Cold Feat by
Ken LeSure. Cold Feat
is a dramatic
sci-fi/techno novel that will
be released in e-book format.
Who wants to kill computer
geek Peter Sellman and why?Cold
Feat contains adult
themes, some harsh language,
and moments of sex and
violence in a techno thriller
set in 1982.

FULL-CAST AUDIO RECORDING FOR
“FLESH AND BLOOD” IS AN EXCITING
MODERN TAKE ON RADIO DRAMAS

No matter
where you look in the publishing
business today, audio books are a
booming business. And Dark Menace
Productions has taken it to a higher
level with Flesh and Blood!
 The
production of the audio track for
Flesh and Blood wasn’t simply one
person reading text from a
page. Instead Flesh and Blood
is a full-cast recording, featuring
music and sound effects to immerse
the listener in all the
spine-tingling horror and fantasy
action. It’s been termed a
modern take on the exciting radio
dramas of the mid-20th-century.
Serving as narrator, director, and
editor of the project, Mark Ashby
worked with some of the foremost
purveyors of full-cast audio books
for over a decade, and he has
brought that expertise to Flesh and
Blood. “When actors only can
use their voices to convey the
feelings of the characters,” Ashby
says, “they have to concentrate on
making listeners imagine these
people in their minds as if they’re
watching a movie inside their
heads. All of these actors are
expert at creating that experience.”
Bringing their talents to bear on
Flesh and Blood are Ruben Brown,
Linda Julien, Tom Shanklin, Kedra
Gowans, Daniel Cope, Angela
Merrithew, Michael Merrithew, and
Marta Fiscus. Their
performances, when paired with the
majestic musical score and eerie
sound effects, showcase the best of
what an audio book can be. At
about the length of a typical
feature-length film, Flesh and Blood
will provide horror and fantasy fans
with plenty of thrills and chills!
The story itself is presented in
e-book form complete with sharp
interior illustrations. A range of
heroic characters are featured, each
fighting his or her way through the
Splinterlands, Kris Osk’s dark
fantasy setting in Flesh and Blood.
Classic horror staples like
vampires, werewolves, and zombies
are fused with swords, sorcery, and
magical creatures presenting a truly
original tale that can be read
and/or listened to.
“I’m so grateful to have worked with
Mark Ashby on this project,” says
Kris Osk. “He was able to add an
entirely new level of depth to Flesh
and Blood. Look, I love reading, and
enjoy listening to audio books, but
what Mark and his team have done
here is something really unique -

Fans of legend Stan Lee (and who
isn't!) have a chance to share the
stage with The Man himself in the
Create-A-Caption Contest to
promote the re-release of Stan
Lee's Election Daze. The contest
ends and all entries must be
received by September 25.
Election Daze originally appeared
in print version in 2008 and
lampooned election year politics
with Stan Lee's hilarious captions
to accompany photos of Barack
Obama, Hillary Clinton, John
McCain, George Bush, and many
more. The book was a wild success
and now will be re-released on
October 1, just in time for
mid-term elections.
Except this time there are some
new features. The new release will
be a DM-Book which is basically an
e-book with bonus features, and
will be sold for a mere $6.
Bonus features include a brand new
cover featuring super hero art by
Steve Stanley.
The best part is the e-book will

SET TO LAUNCH WITH THREE RELEASES THIS

Dark Menace
Productions, a new intellectual properties
company, will officially launch with three
releases in 2010.
Dark Menace Productions is a dynamic “idea
factory” that creates intellectual
properties and franchises for a variety of
partnerships and applications. The CEO is
Tom Filsinger, a successful entrepreneur,
creator and writer.
Buttressed by a variety of creative
properties already established in the
marketplace and high-profile partnerships
with cultural icons like Marvel Comics
legend Stan Lee and other celebrities,
Dark Menace Productions seeks to become a
leading franchise-creator and content
provider in the entertainment industry,
including films, television, games and
other media.
The official company slogan is “New
Dimensions in Creativity” and in
Filsinger’s own words: “Our goal is
nothing less than taking over the
entertainment galaxy.”
Dark Menace Productions is an umbrella
company that includes two companies. One
is Filsinger Games, a company that has
successfully marketed two games, Champions
of the Galaxy and Legends of
Wrestling Card Game. Both are played
as tabletop cards and dice games as well
as being playable on PC as an online
simulation.
Dark Menace Productions also includes
Filsinger Publishing, a company that
markets calendars and books. The company
has produced and sold a unique gift line
called Countdown to the Big Day
calendars. Two calendars are currently on
the market, Countdown to Our Wedding
Day and Countdown to Baby’s Due
Date.
A talented array of writers and artists
has worked with Filsinger on his
properties including Stan Lee, Brian
Michael Bendis, Kris Osk, Darryl Banks,
Chuck Carter and Hannibal King.
Two new properties will be packaged and
showcased this summer in the form of
DM-Books, a unique concept created by Dark
Menace Productions. DM-Books are Digital
Multimedia books, basically e-books with
bonus features including audio files,
artwork, and games depending on the
project.
Dark Menace Productions will release two
DM-Books in July: Champions of the
Galaxy: Battle for Cetus, a sci-fi
thriller, and Flesh and Blood, a
vampires and zombies shock- fest. Also
coming in August is Stan Lee’s
Election Daze, a super-powered humor
romp chronicling the rise of Barack Obama
to the presidency!
